Rotary Scholar graduates with Masters Degree at Waterford Institute of Technology
Picture of the graduation of Lindsey Bish last October. She was the visiting ambassadorial scholar from the Rotary Club of Florida hosted by us. Under the scholarship she studied for a Masters of Business in Internationalisation. The picture is of Lindsey with the Graduation Party and the programme leader.

Indian Ambassador's Visit 24th Nov.08

P.S. Raghavan Ambassador of India to Ireland Visiting Waterford Rotary Club pictured with his wife Barbara, Dr Abdul Bulbulia and Club President Orm Kenny.
Ambassador P.S. Raghavan arrived in Dublin on December 9, 2007 and
presented his credentials to President Mary McAleese on December 11. Born in 1955, he took degrees in Physics [St Stephen's College,
Delhi] and Electronics and Communications Engineering [Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore] before joining the Indian Foreign Service in 1979. Between 1979 and 1994, he held diplomatic positions in the Indian Missions in Moscow, Warsaw and London, interspersed with tenures in the Ministry of External Affairs. In 1994, he was appointed Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City; in 1997, Deputy High Commissioner in the Indian High Commission in Pretoria. From 2000 to 2004, Ambassador Raghavan served as Joint Secretary (dealing with Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security matters) in the
Prime Minister's Office in New Delhi. He was Ambassador of India to Czech Republic from 2004 to 2007.
